Reminder: Easter Egg Hunt

Hello Neighbors! This is a reminder that next Saturday, April 16th at 10:30am we will be having our HOA Easter Egg hunt. We ask that kids with their adult meet at the grassy area in front of the neighborhood. This is an all ages event. Younger kids will be given a head start, then our older friends will be released to find eggs. The HOA is also hiding special prize eggs this year! So please come out, meet new friends and have fun!

We are hoping more homeowners will volunteer to place eggs on their lawns. All you have to do is place a minimum of 12 plastic eggs with a small treat or prize in them. If you would like to participate and haven’t contacted the HOA yet, please respond to this post or email Sheri at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com, so your house can be marked the day of the hunt. Thank you!!

Easter Egg Hunt Returns!!

We are happy to announce that the annual Easter Egg hunt is returning this year! On Saturday, April 16th at 10:30am, kids with their adult will meet at the front common area (grassy section between the 2 signs). They will then be released into the neighborhood to find Easter eggs scattered throughout. Participating homes will be marked and the children will be instructed not to enter unmarked properties. If you would like to help with this activity, we ask that you first contact Sheri at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com to let her know you are participating so your house can be marked. On the day of the event, we ask that you set out a minimum of 12 eggs with little treats or prizes in them by 10am. We haven’t been able to organize any HOA events in 2 years and we hope everyone will come out and participate in some way. We look forward to this event and more in the future!

Volunteer needed

We are looking for a volunteer to help with the common area on Saturday, April 9 at 9am. We will be weeding, raking and pruning the area. This will take about 30 minutes and you will earn a $25 credit towards your 2023 HOA assessment. If you are interested, please contact the secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com. Thank you!

Landscape Work Party Program

Spring is just around the corner, which means it is time to sign up for the landscape work party program. Homeowners are able to exchange working in the neighborhood common area for credits toward their 2023 HOA assessment. How it works: Homeowners may contact the HOA Secretary to sign up for specific days to prune, weed, or rake the common area. Volunteers use their own tools. Work takes place on Saturday mornings at 9am and is usually complete within 30 minutes. After work is complete, volunteers receive a $25 credit towards their 2023 assessment with a cap of $210 for the year. Children are allowed to participate, however, anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Click here to view the schedule: https://avondaleglen.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/landscape-work-party-sign-up-sheet-2022.pdf then contact the Secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com to reserve your spot. There are only 2 slots available every other week between April and October. Please limit your request to 4 dates at first. If you would like to volunteer more than 4 times, please let the Secretary know and she will contact you later if dates are available. Thank you!

Car/Home break ins

It has been reported that there have been car/home break ins around Poulsbo Middle school. This is just a reminder that while we are a nice, quiet neighborhood, we are not immune to crime. Lock up your homes, don’t keep valuables in your car, leave your lights on at night, watch out for your neighbors when they are gone and report suspicious activity. Being aware and vigilant will help keep you, your family and property safe!
