• If your food garbage is accessible, overflowing the can, you are inviting rats.
• If you have an abundance of bird feeders dropping seed on the ground, you are inviting rats.
• If you’re not so regular about cleaning up dog poop from your yard, you are inviting rats.
• If you leave overripe fruit or vegetables on the ground in your garden, you are inviting rats.

Neighbors are beginning to notice an influx of  rats in the neighborhood!  Be on the lookout and inspect your crawl spaces for infiltration.  Be sure to never leave food outside or stored in your garage.  Those with vegetable/fruit gardens may need to use traps.  The less we provide for them, the more likely they will go away! We are still looking for 3 volunteers; 2 to weed whack the street/sidewalk and 1 to use a blower to clean up.  Volunteers will need to use their own equipment.  We would like to have the work done this weekend and can organize a time that best fits the volunteers schedule.  The weeds aren’t terrible, so we anticipate the work to take about 30 minutes or less.  Volunteers will earn a $15 credit towards their 2020 HOA assessment.  If you are available, please reply to this post or contact the Secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com.
