New fireworks ban
Kitsap County has issued a new ban on some fireworks due to how dry it has been. Please read this article to understand what is/isn’t allowed: https://www.kitsapsun.com/story/news/2019/05/29/fireworks-restrictions-passes-kitsap-county-july-4th/1278809001/ . Please keep in mind what is sold on the reservation, isn’t always allowed in the City of Poulsbo. Be mindful of the fire hazard! As we saw a couple of years ago, when one of the yards in the neighborhood caught fire due to a bottle rocket, we were unable to get through to the fire department. If it weren’t for the quick action of our own neighbors, there would have been structures destroyed. Keep your lawns watered! Also, with the 4th being on a Thursday, we ask that neighbors wrap up celebrations by midnight. Many neighbors have work the next day, so please be courteous. Thank you!
HOA Treasurer needed
All volunteers for the HOA Treasurer position must contact the HOA President, Eric Rust, by July 1st to be considered for the job. This is a low key position, that does not require a lot of time. The current Treasurer, Carol Mezen, is able to train the next volunteer. Please send an email to avondaleglenpresident@gmail.com to apply. Thank you!
Work party volunteer needed
We have one work party opening for Saturday, June 22nd at 9am. Volunteers earn a $15 credit towards their 2020 assessment for 30 minutes of work. If you are interested, please contact the Secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com.
Important! New Treasurer Needed
Hello Homeowners! We have recently received news that our HOA Treasurer, Carol Mezen, will be moving. Carol has done a wonderful job as treasurer, she will be missed! We are now looking for her replacement and hope someone will step up right away. The position is not complicated and if you volunteer now, Carol will show you how to do it! The board stays in communication through email most of the time, however, we do have meetings about once a quarter, unless something important comes up that needs immediate attention. If you would like to volunteer or would like more information please contact the HOA President, Eric Rust, at avondaleglenpresident@gmail.com. Thank you!
