Vacancy notification

We are sad to announce that Julie Poplawski has tendered her resignation.  The Board has accepted her resignation and the Secretary position is now vacant.  The President will now perform all duties of the Secretary until the vacancy can be filled.  A letter with more information will be sent out in the coming weeks.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the president at avondaleglenpresident@gmail.com.

Missing signs

Thank you to everyone who came out to help today.  Many hands made quick work and we appreciate it.  You may notice that the Avondale Glen signs are gone.  These signs are 10 years old and in need of some TLC.  Once the weather improves, the wood will be stained and the signs will be brought back, touched up and fixed.

Reminder

This is a reminder that we will be having a work party on Sunday, May 22 @1pm.  We will meet at the front common area to clean up the signs and some yard work.  After, we will meet at President’s house for a small pot luck.  Please bring drinks or a snack to share.

Work Party date change

The Board has come to realize that the Viking Fest parade is on May 21st.  We have decided to push back our work party one day to Sunday, May 22nd at 1pm.  We hope neighbors will come to help spruce up the signs and common area.

Board Meeting

There will be a board meeting on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 7pm.  Meetings are held at the Safeway on the corner of Lincoln and 305 in their lounge area.  The board will be finalizing plans for the May 21st work party and speaking with the ACC and ERC.

Get Approved!

When the weather warms up, outdoor projects begin.  Please remember to submit for approval prior to having work done.  Projects needing approval include but not limited to sheds, exterior house painting, pergolas, decks, spas, playground equipment, etc.  If you plan to do work to your house and your not sure if you need approval, contact the President or submit the form!  It takes no time and the answer from the ACC is given relatively quickly.  You can find forms under the “ACC policy, forms and info” tab.

Tent Caterpillars are back

Spring is here and so are the Tent Caterpillars!  All around the neighborhood cotton candy like cocoons can be seen in the trees and shrubs.  If left unchecked, these nuisances can damage plant-life and make a mess of your yard.  Now is the time to inspect your trees, especially the red leaf plum trees.  To keep the infestations under control, it’s best to remove the sacs before the caterpillars hatch.
