We have been getting complaints about homeowners not mowing their lawns. We ask that lawns be mowed once a week during the growing season. We will be issuing friendly reminders later this week. If we continue to receive complaints, homeowners will receive a formal letter, followed by the board hiring a company to maintain the property at the homeowner’s expense. Please refer to the maintenance standards for further information or contact a board member. Thank you

Volunteers needed for work party
We have 3 available slots for the 1st landscape work party on Saturday, March 31st at 9am. Volunteers will receive a $10 credit toward their 2019 assessment. Work will include weeding and pruning for 30 minutes. If we are unable to fill the first work party, the board will have to assume that this program is not wanted by the neighborhood and will eliminate it immediately. This will result in the board having to hire a landscaper this year and the 2019 assessment will be increased in November to cover costs. Please view the work party schedule under the “landscape work program” tab and volunteer. You can contact the secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com to sign up. Thank you!
Treasurer needed
The HOA is need of a new treasurer. The treasurer is in charge of paying the bills and keeping the books. This position is not complicated if you know how to balance a check book. Board members typically meet once a month or every other month, depending on what is going on and needs attention. Every board position has certain duties and currently the president is having to do twice the work. We would appreciate homeowners to volunteer and be an active member in our community. If you are interested please contact the President at avondaleglenpresident@gmail.com . Thank you!
Landscape Work Party Schedule 2018
The landscape work party schedule has been updated for 2018. You can find the schedule under the “Landscape Work Party” tab. Remember, in order to receive the $10 work credit you must contact the Secretary to sign up. This year we will begin work on March 31, 2018 and run through October 27, 2018 (additional parties may be added depending on weather and work to be done). Parties are every other Saturday at 9am. In order for this program to continue, we need homeowners to sign up and work for 30 minutes. Many homeowners who participated last year had their assessment reduced to under $150! This program really does save the HOA money and in return your assessment is kept low.
