Alert: Early Morning Incident

A neighbor reported that a man banged on their door at 4am this morning. The man wanted the neighbor to open the door because a dog had been hit. Eventually the man went away and the police were called. Another neighbor had reported about 3 weeks ago a person was seen on their ring camera around 4am coming up to their door, then turned around and left. Let this be a reminder that you need to be vigilant. Be sure to lock up your homes and cars. Keep your shrubbery and trees pruned and away from doors and windows so your house can be seen. Keep your lights on at night or install motion detecting security lights. Install cameras, so you can see what is happening around your house. Let your neighbors know when you’re away on vacation, so they can keep an eye your property. Report suspicious activity to the police and inform the HOA Secretary so posts like this can be sent out to everyone. Thank you!

Free Circus tickets

The HOA was sent free child admission tickets to the Jordan World Circus June 9th and 10th in Bremerton. If you would like one of these tickets, please reply to this post or send an email to avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com. Please include your street number and the secretary will deliver the ticket(s). Thank you!

IMPORTANT! Curb Painting Tomorrow

The board was asked during the Annual Meeting to have the numbers on the curb repainted this year. We apologize for the late notice, but the company we use has an opening for tomorrow, April 14th. Please do not park in the street, as this may block the area they need to work on. If you have guests, please have them park on your driveway. If you have time to pressure wash the area today, we would appreciate it. We have found those who prepped their curbs last time were able to retain the numbers on the curb better. Thank you!

Work Party Volunteers Needed

Earlier this week we posted that the Landscape Work Party schedule was open to homeowners to volunteer. The response was dismal. The number of volunteers over the past few years has dwindled and currently we do not have anyone to work half of the “parties” available. If this program is not something members are interested in participating in, the board will end it and hire a landscape service. At this point, the board will need to have one volunteer to help in the first 3 parties in order to keep this program going this year. Please review the schedule here and contact the Secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com if you are interested. Thank you!

Landscape Work Party 2023

It’s time to sign up for this year’s work party program! This is our 6th year having this amazing program that allows our homeowners to care for our neighborhood while earning credits toward their 2024 HOA assessment. How it works: Check out the available dates here and contact the Secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com with the days you would like to volunteer (all dates are for Saturdays at 9am, but we can be flexible with times if the board member in charge agrees to it). The Secretary will contact you with a reminder email one week before your work day. On your work day, come to the front common area with gloves and tools to prune, rake and weed for 30 minutes. Every time you volunteer, you receive a $25 credit ($210 cap). You may volunteer for as many days as you like, however, there are a limited number of spots available and this is first come, first serve. Don’t have a green thumb? No worries, the board member in charge that day will be happy to teach you what needs to be done. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for volunteering!
