ALERT: Car prowler in the neighborhood
Last night the President’s truck was broken into. If anyone saw anything, please contact the local authorities. Be sure to lock up your vehicles and do not keep valuables, bags or anything of interest in view. Our best defense against crime is to be vigilant and report suspicious activity.
Reminder from the ACC
The ACC would like to remind you that all work done to your property needs to be approved prior to the work being done. This includes having your paint colors approved, even when using the same colors. Approval submission forms can be found under the “Governing documents and forms” tab or the “ACC” tab. All submissions should be sent to the ACC at avondaleglenacc@gmail.com. Responses are usually given within 2 weeks. Thank you!
Landscape maintenance reminder
Spring is here and it’s that time to dust off the lawn mower and pruners! Please review the landscape maintenance standards for the neighborhood under the “Governing Documents and Forms” tab. Please be a responsible homeowner and care for your property. If you have not done so yet, look over your property and determine what work needs to be done. Everyone should be mowing and pruning their own yards. It is important to not take advantage of your neighbor’s kindness. It is not right for them to care for your yard in addition to their own! Homeowners not maintaining their property create frustration and strife with their neighbors. The Board and ACC will be giving homeowners not in compliance friendly reminders on their door. Let’s all work together to be kind, courteous and respectful of each other and create an environment we all enjoy living in!
Friendly reminder
This is a friendly reminder that there is no parking allowed on the street. This rule comes from and is enforced by the City of Poulsbo. We would also like to remind you to slow down while driving through the neighborhood. Now that the sun is making an appearance, the children of the neighborhood are out playing. Please have a conversation with your teen drivers about the importance of driving cautiously through the neighborhood. Thank you!
Happy Easter!
Board meeting
The Board will be meeting on Monday, April 17th at 7pm. Meeting will be held at the Secretary’s house (2740). The agenda will include review of landscape parties, egg hunt and late assessments. Members are always welcome to attend and observe board meetings, however, attendance is not necessary.
Work party slots available
There are two slots available for the work party on Saturday, April 15th. Volunteers will meet at 9am to weed and prune the front common area. This task should take no more than 30 minutes. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the Secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com . First two members to respond will be placed on the list and receive a $10 credit towards their 2018 HOA assessment. If you are interested in volunteering in the future, please view the PDF of available slots under the Landscape Work Program tab. If you would like to be placed on the stand by list contact the Secretary. Thank you!
Easter Egg Hunt
This is a reminder that we will be having an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday, April 15th at 1pm. Please place candy/trinket filled plastic eggs on your front lawn for the kids to find. Children should meet at the front common area. After the hunt we will have a face painter and balloon twister for entertainment. This event will happen rain or shine. We hope everyone will come out and spend the afternoon with your neighbors.
Yard waste bins needed!!
We had a very successful work party this morning. We filled 4 bins with debris but still have more to dispose of! On either side of the neighborhood you will find 2 debris piles (they are in the areas closest to Noll Road, in the ditch). If you have room in your yard waste bin, please consider coming down and filling it with what was left behind! If you are out of town this week and are willing to donate your bin, please contact the secretary at avondaleglensecretary@gmail.com . The work party did an amazing job, the common area has never looked so good! A big THANK YOU to Jason, Lance, Bob, Chad, Pam, Joe and our littlest(and most enthusiastic!) helpers Cadence, Keegan and Kyra. Check out the Landscape Work Program tab if you would like to participate in this great community program!
